AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY – ROSE PLANETARIUM

The replacement of the Hayden Planetarium with a state of the art 90 foot diameter spherical Sky theater/Planetarium, addition of an exhibition hall, 3-story 350 car underground parking garage, a public plaza, new gallery space, restaurant, new public entranceway and portico offices. E-J furnished and installed all security system wiring, device and equipment work involving the installation of several systems including Building Access Control (card reader), CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Surveillance, and a garage intercom and emergency call system. All areas of the complex, including several exhibits, elevators, stairwells, exits and terraces, are monitored at the Museum’s main security system headquarters by both audio and visual monitoring equipment. The system work involved the installation of motion and glass break detectors, door alarm contacts, panic duress switches, card readers, electric locking devices, and cameras. There are approximately 160 remote alarm points being controlled and supervised by 13 Northern Computers, Inc. Control Panels, strategically located to provide maximum security and safety for property and people.
