Installation of access control and CCTV Cameras in the Office Building, Customer Service Center, Cargo, Warehouse and the Vaults with sub-grade duct bank distribution.

The installation of state-of-the-art auditorium and theatre as final step in completing the country’s leading Performing Arts High School. Work included all stage lighting, control systems, the installation of a 200kW generator to provide power to critical school loads, a fire alarm system and security installation.

Completed entire new C.V. Starr Pavilion, incorporating electrical requirements for latest medical systems. The Hospital is served through an emergency power system that integrates a new 550V, 900kW, diesel generator with three identical existing diesel generators, to become part of an automatic paralleling scheme. The paralleling of four on-site generators provides high reliability and continuity of service.

New 11-story, 137,000 sq. foot building on southwest corner of Amsterdam Avenue and 76th Street. The new site includes everything from a nursery school, to a senior center, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, exercise facilities, auditorium, banquet facilities, library, photography lab, culinary arts center, teen center and a spiritual contemplation area. The building has eight above ground floors and three levels below ground.

Millenium High School was a fast track design build project. It was the first High School located in a high-rise building on the 13th floor. Work included general electrical installation, communication, data, fire alarm and 1600, 800& 600 amp distribution boards.

The replacement of the Hayden Planetarium with a state of the art 90 foot diameter spherical Sky theater/Planetarium, addition of an exhibition hall, 3-story 350 car underground parking garage, a public plaza, new gallery space, restaurant, new public entranceway and portico offices. E-J furnished and installed all security system wiring, device and equipment work involving the installation of several systems including Building Access Control (card reader), CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm Surveillance, and a garage intercom and emergency call system. All areas of the complex, including several exhibits, elevators, stairwells, exits and terraces, are monitored at the Museum’s main security system headquarters by both audio and visual monitoring equipment. The system work involved the installation of motion and glass break detectors, door alarm contacts, panic duress switches, card readers, electric locking devices, and cameras. There are approximately 160 remote alarm points being controlled and supervised by 13 Northern Computers, Inc. Control Panels, strategically located to provide maximum security and safety for property and people.

Timely completion, planning and coordination of high visibility project involving phased new construction, and rehabilitation of existing facilities in order to minimize disruption of Museum’s operation. The project included installation of special lighting to properly illuminate art exhibitions.

E-J Electric is the prime contractor on this 25 million dollar Security project which consists of a complete campus wide security upgrade of the UN Headquarters including the installation of new perimeter fence with foundation in granite, vehicle and personal access control, security CCTV system, vehicle barriers, complete IT Network, intrusion detector system, new control room, perimeter bollards, additional outdoor cameras and lighting, secure alarm contacts for air intakes and manholes, etc.

Six floor renovation of Forensic Laboratory including installing security and fire alarm system in the entire building in labs. Multiple technical integrated systems including power, acid control systems, state of the art security and fire alarm system. E-J’s responsibilities included wiring the laboratory’s power, communications, lighting and security systems. To meet its deadlines, E-J’s constant challenge was integrating the many state of the art systems featured in this 21st century criminological facility. E-J’s know how was invaluable in using technology to ensure complete security and reliability of police evidence. Total security is assured by a C-Cure 800 Access Control and Security Management System, building-wide access controls, alarm monitoring, motion detection and closed circuit television monitoring. Interior and exterior surveillance cameras were also installed on this project.

Fast track addition to existing building renovation including New Police Desk CCTV, sound, security and fire alarm systems while owner continued to function as Airport Police and Fire Station.

A Completion Contract for automation of the Port Authority Bus Terminal’s control systems.

Complete electrical office renovation totaling over $6 Million. Project included thirteen floors of office space, conference rooms, kitchen and cafeteria. Work performed included all lighting and programmable lighting control, convenience power and distribution, a new 2500A service switch for rooftop chillers, fire alarm system extension, security systems including access control, alarm, and CCTV and audio/visual installations.

Multiple medical laboratory installations including sensitive ground fault power, coldroom controls, darkroom and surgery lighting, and fire, security, and computer networking systems. Installation of outdoor substation including 1000kVA transformer to provide emergency backup for critical loads.

Complex 625,000 sq. ft. new office building project which E-J Electric was awarded when the original contractor forfeited their bond. We met critical installation dates to insure a certificate of occupancy for the owner.

This raised floor Web hosting/co-location center consisted of complete renovation, new power and lighting, UPS and HVAC. Systems include DC power, fire alarm, FM 200, preaction and security.

E-J has a permanent satellite office at this Showroom Building/Landmark Building. We are in charge of the maintenance on all fifteen floors, the major International Toy Show every February with temporary set-ups for multiple vendors and the monitoring of the electrical system during Toy Trade Show. We also design/build jobs, do emergency on-call work, service calls and estimating, etc.

New construction of this three floor mausoleum holding 10,000 caskets located in the St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village, NY. Work included installing switchboards and an emergency generator, a full fire alarm system, Public Address system and decorative lighting, both inside and outside of the mausoleum.

Renovation of HVAC System in theater complex, including control and power wiring and emergency egress and security system.

Hugo Boss is a high profile store at the new Time Warner Center which consisted of the installation of fire alarm systems, custom audio/visual system, installation of speaker system, plasma screens and video recorders, security system including surveillance cameras, custom lighting installation, installation of intricate millwork, lighting for displays and showcases, power wiring for A/C and low voltage control wiring.

E-J installed a complete security system for Towers B & D in the World Financial Center. Other systems included power, lighting, communications and fire alarm.
