Power generation, transmission and distribution and accompanying facilities have been a specialty of E-J’s for many years. These include high voltage installations, cogeneration, emergency and demand load generation. Our project delivery is typically on a fast track and/or design build program.
We’ve recently completed three 500 MW Power Plants: one for the New York Power Authority and two for Astoria Energy. We’ve also performed a Pratt & Whitney Twin Pack independent peaking facility for Florida Power & Light at Bayswater, a Cogeneration Project of Keyspan for Montefiore Hospital, and an extensive Methane Recovery Plant in Staten Island, all on a negotiated basis. These assignments were awarded to us, based on our reputation as the leading power generation contractor in the metropolitan area.
E-J continues to lead the Power Transmission and Distribution field. Recent projects include Con Edison Grasslands Substation, 7 World Trade Center Substation, 345kV oil filled Cable relocation project, in addition to NRG Gas Turbine Transformer replacement and Astoria Energy Substation and Switchyard.
